Guy Smith

Guy Smith currently serves as a police officer with the Monroe Police Department in Monroe, Louisiana. He has 14 years of law enforcement experience, including 13 years as a SWAT operator and 11 years as a Street Crimes Officer. Throughout his career, Guy has gained extensive experience in high risk tactical operations, undercover operations, street level enforcement, and multi agency law enforcement efforts.

Guy has served in joint operations with several federal law enforcement agencies, including the DEA, FBI, U.S. Marshals, and U.S. Secret Service. His experience includes working in complex and high pressure environments that require tactical discipline, sound judgment, and strong operational awareness.

In addition to his patrol, SWAT, and street crimes experience, Guy serves as a Monroe Police Rescue and Recovery Diver with the MPD Dive Team. In this role, he has conducted numerous underwater and open water operations related to crimes, accidents, drownings, and natural disasters.

Guy has also spent more than 9 years in the private sector providing dignitary protection for high profile clients during travel, large public venues, and religious events. He also currently serves as a Sergeant in the Louisiana State Guard, where he specializes in Defensive Tactics training for Louisiana State Guard force protection and pre deployment support for the Louisiana National Guard. He was recently awarded the Louisiana Commendation Medal from the Louisiana National Guard for his tactical and technical competence, professionalism, and service.

Guy is a former collegiate athlete and a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He also has more than 15 years of mixed martial arts experience, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, boxing, and kickboxing.

Guy’s passion is helping develop and mentor upcoming officers in tactical readiness, professional discipline, and operational excellence.

Jonathon

Daniel

Jonathon “JJ” Daniel is an experienced law enforcement professional with a background spanning patrol operations, street crimes investigations, narcotics enforcement, tactical operations, and specialized surveillance. Serving as a Corporal at the Monroe Police Department, throughout his career, he has worked in high-crime environments, conducting proactive investigations and leading operations targeting violent offenders, narcotics trafficking, and other criminal activity.

As a SWAT operator and team leader, JJ has participated in numerous high-risk missions, including dynamic and deliberate entries, hostage rescue operations, structure clearing, and vehicle and large-venue assaults. His leadership experience includes operational planning, tactical briefings, real-time decision-making, and coordinating personnel during critical incidents.

In addition to his tactical responsibilities, JJ has led narcotics investigations as a part of the Monroe PD street crimes unit (HEAT Team) involving covert surveillance, search warrants, arrests, and asset seizures. He has worked alongside federal agencies including the DEA, FBI, and U.S. Marshals Service during joint enforcement operations, bringing a collaborative approach to complex investigations and high-risk missions.

JJ’s expertise extends beyond traditional law enforcement operations. He is a certified Firearms Instructor, ALICE Instructor, Rappelling Instructor, and Field Training Officer. He also holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and utilizes drone technology for aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, and operational support.

JJ is also a member of the Monroe PD Dive Team where he is scuba certified and has participated in search and rescue operations as well as recovery operations. His additional certification in crisis intervention enhances his ability to respond effectively across a wide range of environments and critical incidents.

Whether instructing on the range, supporting tactical operations, or mentoring the next generation of law enforcement professionals, JJ brings real-world experience, practical knowledge, and a mission-focused approach to every opportunity.

Nathanael

Chapman

Nathanael Chapman serves as a Corporal with the Monroe Police Department. He is a member of the department’s Street Crimes Unit (HEAT Team), SWAT Team, and Dive Team. He holds instructor certifications through various programs, including ALERRT, ALICE, SSGT Defensive Tactics, and Firearms Instruction. His professional focus centers on tactical operations, Close Quarters Battle (CQB), officer preparedness, and continuous performance development in high-stress environments.

Nathanael actively pursues training in firearms, CQB, force-on-force engagements, and martial arts disciplines including Judo, Japanese Jujitsu, and Taekwondo, with more than 20 years of martial arts experience. He values disciplined training, humility, teamwork, and servant leadership as essential components of effective law enforcement operations.

Grounded in faith and committed to continuous improvement, Nathanael strives to sharpen both the physical and mental aspects of leadership, readiness, and service to others.
